This Privacy Policy describes how SportsLog ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the SportsLog mobile application (the "App") and the website sportslogapp.com (the "Website"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
If you choose to use our App or Website, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this Privacy Policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the App and Website. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
a. From the SportsLog App: The SportsLog App is designed to prioritize your privacy. The vast majority of your data, including workout details, personal information (name and email on Personal Information screen which is solely used for PDF generation), and any other input, is stored exclusively on your device in an SQLite database. We do not collect or transmit this data from your device to our servers.
The only personal data collected by SportsLog directly is through our integration with the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store for the sole purpose of verifying in-app purchases.
When you make purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, we receive anonymized transaction data, such as purchase IDs, product details, and timestamps, to verify and deliver your purchase. We do not receive your name, email, or payment details from these platforms. We also use aggregated analytics from Apple and Google to understand purchase trends, which does not identify individual users.
b. From sportslogapp.com Website: When you visit sportslogapp.com, we may collect certain information automatically through cookies and similar tracking technologies. This includes:
Technical Data: Information about your device and browser, such as IP address, device type, operating system, and browser type.
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our Website, such as pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs.
2. How We Collect Information
App Purchase Verification: Data for purchase verification is received directly from Google Play Store and Apple App Store when you make an in-app purchase. We do not directly collect payment card information.
Website Usage: Information on the Website is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you visit sportslogapp.com.
3. Purpose of Data Collection
a. App Data: The data collected via Apple App Store and the Google Play Store is used exclusively for:
Enabling Premium Features: To verify your in-app purchases and allow you to access and utilize the premium features of the App.
Customer Support: To assist you with any purchase-related inquiries, issues, or refund requests.
b. Website Data (via Cookies): The data collected through cookies on sportslogapp.com is used for:
Site Functionality: To ensure the proper operation and functionality of our Website.

App Purchase Data: The purchase verification data stored in Apple App Store and Google Play Store will be retained for as long as necessary to manage your purchased entitlements and provide customer support related to those purchases. If you wish to request the deletion of your purchase record and thus your access to premium features of the App, please contact us at questions@sportslogapp.com.
On-Device Data (App): All sports related data and personal information (name and email for PDF generation) are stored on your device in the SQLite database which is entirely under your control. You can delete this data directly by uninstalling the app, deleting back up files, or through any data management features available on your device.
Website Data: Data collected through website cookies will be retained for a period consistent with the purpose of collection (e.g., analytics data may be retained for a certain period to observe trends).
6. Your Choices and Rights
a. For App Data:
On-Device Data: You have full control over the data stored on your device. You can delete the App and all its locally stored data at any time.
Apple App Store and Google Play Store Purchase Data: If you wish to inquire about or request the deletion of your purchase verification record, please contact us at questions@sportslogapp.com. Please note that deleting this data will remove premium features.
b. For Website Data (Cookies):
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings preferences. You can typically set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of sportslogapp.com may become inaccessible or not function properly.
7. Children's Privacy
SportsLog is appropriate for users of all ages, including children under 13. We do not collect any personal data beyond the purchase verification data described in Section 1a, which is handled in accordance with the terms of Google Play Store and Apple App Store regarding in-app purchases. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information beyond what is necessary for purchase verification without your consent, please contact us at questions@sportslogapp.com.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
